  9.  Oral History The person I interviewed was Enrique a 6 year old. He said that he is very proud for being a Mexican American. He also said that he would one day like to visit Mexico. His favorite Mexican food is tamales.

Environment  *Air Pollution:  -30% of vehicles are more than 20 years old.   -There is a lot of PM10 in Mexico City, this comes from road constructions, dust, buses, forest fires, and open-air burning of refuse.  *Water Pollution:  -78% of municipal wastewater and 85% of industrial wastewater is untreated when discharged into oceans, rivers, lakes, and groundwater, this is affecting fresh water for human use.

Environment  *Mountains:  -El Pico de Orizaba is the largest mountain in Mexico.   -It is about 18,900 ft above sea level. *Volcanoes:  -Barcena is a volcano on the island of San Benedicto that wiped out all life on the island in 1952.  *Deforestation:  -Is clearing out forests by logging or burning.  -More than one million hectares are being lost each year.  -Illegal wood is being cut.

  15.      Economy *Industry:  -Mexico has one of the largest industries in the world such as oxxo convenience store chain, Grupo Bimbo, Telmex, Televisa.  *Tourism:  -Mexico is the twenty-third highest tourism spender in the world.  -Mexico City is very popular with tourism such as Pyramid of The Sun and Pyramid of the Moon also El Zocalo(one of the largest public plazas in the world).  *Trade:  -Mexico's main export is oil.  -Mexico exports other goods such as Electronics, automobiles, silver,fruits, and many more.  

  16.      Economy *Poverty:  -Sixty million people,half the Mexican population live in poverty.   -The amount of education,skill,intelligence,health,and prejudice all have an influence on poverty.  *Crops:  -Mexico's main crop is corn.  -Other crops grown in Mexico are beans,barley,fruits such as oranges,apples,grapes,and raisins.

  18.         Politics *Felipe Calderon:  -President of Mexico  -He was elected December 1,2006 for a six-year term through 2012. *Drug Dealing:  -More than 2,300 people have been killed in drug murders this year.  -Mexico is the largest foreign supplier of marijuana. *Violence:   -Gangs is major violence in Mexico, and it all has to do with drugs.   -Mexico City is about the same size as New York City, but Mexico City's police force is only two-thirds of NYC. 

  19.         Politics *Unemployment:  -The government is creating temporary jobs for the unemployed.  -Jobs are being created within the nation's oil and gas industries.  *Military:  -Mexico has the third-largest budget in Latin America.   -Mexico's budget is estimate to be $35-$45 billion US dollars per year.

  21.  Society And Culture *Day of The Dead:  -It is a holiday gathering family and friends to pray and remember those who have died.   -The celebration takes place on November 2nd.  *Religion:  -Religion plays a big role in Mexico. 76.5% are Roman Catholics.  -Mexico has the world's second largest number of Catholics.   -A big Cathedral in Mexico is Basilica of Our Lady Of Guadalupe. 

  22.  Society And Culture *Soccer:  -Soccer is a major sport in Mexico just like Football is in the United States.   -Soccer in Mexico started around 1927.  -Mexico's national team is ranked 28th in the FIFA World Rankings.  *Mariachi:  -Are musicians seen in restaurants or strolling the streets.   -They sing about love,death,and politics.  *Artistic:  -After the Mexican Revolution Mexican artists started to incorporate political,historic,and folk themes in their work.   -Everywhere in Mexico you will see beautiful Mexican art.

  26.  Why wouldn't you want to visit Mexico? It is beautiful, it's people are very friendly. If you come visit Mexico you would not forget your amazing experience! There are so many places to go visit. The beaches, the plazas, beautiful churches as well. You could also, go visit the mountains like El Pico de Orizaba. Don't be scared about the drug dealing because you can still have a good time in Mexico. Just avoid the places where drug dealing is taking place. You can still visit Mexico City. It is an amazing City to visit. It is also considered the 3rd largest City in the world. During your trip to Mexico you will see gorgeous art work and taste delicious food. So come visit Mexico you won't regret it!
