China-Europe cooperation on Galileo • June 2002 :Ministry of Science and Technology: State leadership role • October 2003:China-Europe cooperation agreement on the Galileo Program. • October 2004 ; Galileo Joint Undertaking and NRSCC (National Remote Sensing) Agreement . • 12 projects already signed. • Regular meetings of the Joint Steering Committee (MOST-EC-DGTREN)

  4. China-Europe GNSS Technology Training and Cooperation Center CENC initially set up by MOST(NRSCC), EC and ESA in September 2003 .Jointly managed and financed by Chinese and European partner :GSA.

  5. Objectives of the CENC The main objective is to provide support services for joint China- Europe GNSS research and industrial activities • Support Galileo Technical projects; • Harmonize joint research activities on GNSS applications; • Support joint cooperation meetings and workshops; • Organize GNSS training class; • Participate to exhibitions • Operate a web-site and publish News letters.

  6. Evolution of the Center The center is expected to improve the link between China and Europe GNSS activities. • CENC has the capacity to support European companies in China: finding Chinese partners-organizing technical visits . • The Center can help in building partnerships on FP7 projects .

Research and Development FP activities Participation of several(5)Chinese Companies, InstitutesUniversities in different FP 6 projects(7) Rules related to ICPC Countries apply Second Call open to Chinese Participation : Chinese Financial contribution expected CENC is ready to facilitate relations between European and Chinese entities. Dedicated FP 7 Info Day planned on Monday 17 February in Beijing
