Register at: http://texascrisisresiliencyteam.org/crisis-response-team-training/ NOVA Basic Crisis Response Training (National Organization o f Victim Assistance) DEADLINE for registration: June 10 (Grant SBCISD employees) July 10th (all other registrants) • Who should attend: • Law Enforcement • Public Safety • First Responders • Mental Health Professionals • Victim Advocates • School Officials • Counselors • Chaplains • Pastors & other Ministers This National Crisis Response Training program prepares community leaders to help groups of affected people to cope with their immediate emotional reactions when a crisis strikes their community. The training equips leaders to plan for longer-term emotional support and assists teams to begin the process of developing their own community-based crisis response program. The 24 hour training covers the techniques of providing crisis intervention. It gives participants fundamentals on crisis and trauma, and how these are filtered through the victim's age and culture.
