  3. characteristic • If you produce wine it is very important to divide good grapes from bad ones. • The wine is of a better quality if made of healthy and ripe grapes • The climate is very important and because Sardinia is a sunny island its wine is very good.

  4. WITH SOAKING This technique is used for red wine It gives the colour to the wine In the first days, when the fermentation starts, the peels are not removed WITHOUT SOAKING It’s also named “white” The peels are removed before the fermentation technique

  5. Procedure • The grapes are pressed and the skin is crushed to obtain more wine • After some days of fermentation the sugars change into alcohol and the wine is obtained. • The wine is filtered and put into barrels to avoid its contact with oxygen • It is then put in the cellar where it is kept during cold winters.

  6. Myrtle liqueur • The myrtle liqueur has a particular taste and colour, that of its plant: the myrtle. • It is a Mediterranean plant and a symbol of love and beauty. • From the fruit of the myrtle plant, very common in Sardinia, you make the exclusive liqueur of red myrtle. • The Myrtle Liqueur is a hydro alcoholic infusion • From the berries you obtain the red myrtle and from the leaves you obtain the white myrtle.
