  1. Dynalite - KNX Integration March 2012

  2. Dynalite – KNX Integration Why integrate with KNX? How integrate with KNX? The DDNG-KNX network Gateway Features Agenda

  3. Why integrate with KNX? Expanding plans for the office KNX Question: What can we sell? How can we sell Dynalite? Example 1: Existing office KNX as main control system

  4. Why integrate with KNX? BMS = KNX Example 2: Offices = Dynalite (lighting control) BMS system = KNX (HVAC, security, access,.. )

  5. How integrate with KNX? Schematic Mapping Dynalite KNX A1,P1 1/1/2 A4,P2 1/2/4 Dynalite

  6. Dynalite – DDNG-KNX The DDNG-KNX allows for high level integration between the Philips Dynalite system and BMS using the KNX protocol. This gate way between the two systems allows high level communication, opening up a number of integration opportunities. When using the DDNG-KNX gateway, a projects BMS system can be used to directly trigger tasks, timed based events function and can requests back from the Philips Dynalite system its current statuses. This allows for more flexible integration solutions

  7. Dynalite – DDNG-KNX Technical Data Supply: 12VDC 50mA from the DyNet network, fed via port 1 Control ports: 1 x RS485 DyNet serial port Control IO: 1 x AUX programmable dry contact input Internal Controls: Programmable logic – 64 Tasks

  8. Dynalite – DDNG-KNX DDNG – KNX software An Engineering Tool Software (ETS) database file for the DDNG-KNX device is not required as full commissioning is completed with EnvisionProject commissioning software. However, the ETS software is required to commission the KNX devices in the project. The following information will be required. • The Individual address of the DDNG-KNX device • The Group address list and properties in the mapping table

  9. Dynalite – DDNG-KNX Gateway status indications The DDNG-KNX hardware has the following switches and LEDs DyNet KNX DyNet Service switch KNX programming switch Pressing the DyNet service switch on Pressing the KNX Programming The DDNG-KNX gateway sends a switch puts the device into KNX sign-on message onto the Dynet programming mode. It does not Network send any KNX telegrams. DyNet Service LED KNX programming LED Heartbeat – Normal operation On – Programming mode Blink faster – Network traffic Off – Normal operation Permanently On – Fault condition Blinking – Fault condition

  10. Building your network 1/4 • Each line has to have its own supply (+choke) • On a Backbone line max. 15 Main lines • On a Main line max. 15 Lines • On a Line max. 64 devices • Device 1 address = 1.1.1 AC Area Coupler (or BC=Backbone Coupler) LC Line Coupler R Repeater (is a Line Coupler) After each Coupler we need a KNX supply.
