  1. Silkworms and Caterpillars! Students will be learning all about the unique life cycles of silkworms and caterpillars.

  2. How are the life cycles of the silk worm and butterfly unique? • Students will do research and create a presentation, with their 5th grade buddies, on the lifecycle of the silk worm and caterpillar.

  3. Presentations will include research of the life cycle stages. • Egg • pupa • cocoon or chrysalis • silk moth or butterfly

  4. The lifecycle begins again. • Students will be able to tell their buddy about what they have learned through this process, both verbally and through the PowerPoint presentation.

  5. We will watch the whole process in class with live specimens! • Students will observe Painted Lady caterpillars and silk worms.
