  3. Who Can Get Yellow Fever? • People living/visiting sub-Saharan Africa and tropical South America

  4. How do you get Yellow Fever? • Bite of infected mosquito • Mosquitoes are infected when they bite monkeys and then spread it to humans.

  5. What are the Symptoms? • Severity ranges based on age of infected person. • High fever • Chills • Vomiting • Backaches • Liver Failure

  6. What Should I Do If I Might Have Yellow Fever? • No specific treatment • Rest • Drink fluids • Take Pain Reliever

  7. Additional Information • Prevented by : • Get Vaccine! • Wear long sleeves/pants when outdoors • Use Insect spray • Use bug nets
