  2. Travel Experts Scope Travel Expert System facilitates information about travel packages, travel agents and agencies and online package ordering.

Functional Requirements • Provides contact information of Agents, Agencies and main office. • Provide Travel package information for all users. • Online package Order Form: • provide access to features only for registered users. • Simple and user friendly interface. • minimal data entries and accuracy of data (drop-downs, pre-entered texts) • protecting the privacy of data entered into the system. (Credit Card Number & Password)

  4. Non Functional Requirements • Maintainability • Availability- online system operate in 24 hours. • Flexibility-The system is flexible to extend for additional features (payments through banks, select multiple products when ordering) • Portability: easy to install in windows/linux platforms.

  5. Software Requirements • Linux or Windows • Apache • MySQL • PHP • JavaScript • DreamWeaver • CSS • Photoshop

  6. Hardware Requirements Client • RAM- 1GB or higher • Capacity-80 GB or higher • Pentium 4 or higher with SSE

  7. Hardware Requirements Server : • CPU ---Dual Xeon Pentium 4 3.0 Mhz • RAM ---8 GB or higher • Hard Drive ---100 GB SCSI on a Raid 5 system • Ethernet Connection ---100 Base T • Web Server ---Apache

  8. Assumptions • Customers make a booking for only one package. • When the package is set up, the price never changes. • Every booking is created through an agent.

  9. Maintenance and Support • Training for your staff • Respect for their workflow • Research best practices • ISO, Six Sigma, ITIL documentation

  10. Future System Enhancements • Introducing security features like SSL layer. • Data backing up system • Improve the system to seperate database in database server and application in web server.
