  7. Finishing of the course: • The course is finished by exam. • The condition of passing exam is to write essay about some economist or economic school. (5-7 pages, word, times roman 12, row: „simple“ = 1). • You write me the topic of the essay I approve it. • You submit the essay. I read it (and my be return for rewriting). When I will be satisfied we meet and we will discuss the topic. • Essay is not review! Do not only copy form Wikipedia! You should work with more sources, you have to cite them and mention the source in the literature!

Details to the essay • Your hypothesis should: • 1. relate the economist/school (further only „school“)to the reasons for the emergence of the school, or • 2. relate the role of the school to the development of mainstream economics, or • 3. relate the importance of the school to a particular period of history, or • 4. identify the role of events in shaping the nature of the school, etc. • The body of the paper should include: • 1. the important elements of the school, • 2. its ideological position, • 3. the forces that contributed to its development (or demise), • 4. the major contributors to the school or relations of economist with schools (if you write about an economist the connection of the economist with other economist and researchers, how the person affected them) • 5. the major tenets of the school, • 6. major detractors, • 7. policy recommendations • 8. and other elements you feel are important to understanding the nature of the school.
