Brief Overview of Opportunities • National 4-H Congress (4-H Senior members in 10th,11th or 12th grade) • State 4-H and State 4-H Fair Scholarships (Graduating HS Seniors in 12th grade) • State 4-H Awards (4-H Intermediate members in 7th, 8th or 9th grade) • National 4-H Conference (contact Marilyn Lesmeister) • State 4-H Ambassadors (contact Roger or Scott Elmshaeuser) • National 4-H Beekeeping Essay contest (4th grade and above – do not have to be enrolled in a Beekeeping project)
National 4-H Congress • Atlanta, GA on Thanksgiving weekend • Open to Seniors (10th – 12th grade) • Two step selection process • State 4-H Resumes due in State Office March 1 • Finalists must attend interview at Summer Conference • Size of delegation depends on donor funding • More information at http://oregon.4h.oregonstate.edu/national-4h-congress
State 4-H and State 4-H Fair Scholarships • Available only for graduating Seniors (12th grade) • Two different applications with different essay topics and application requirements • Can apply for multiple scholarships on one application form • Different criteria selection for each type of scholarship • Must have SAT or ACT scores available by March 1 • http://oregon.4h.oregonstate.edu/oregon-4h-scholarships
State 4-H Special Awards • Open to Intermediates (7th – 9th grade) • Individual Awards in Citizenship, Leadership and Communication • Group Award in Team Community Service (for members in 4th grade and above) • http://oregon.4h.oregonstate.edu/state-4h-recognition-awards
