  1. Romans 8:5 Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires. 6 The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.

  2. 7 The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. 8 Those who are in the realm of the flesh cannot please God. 9 You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you.

  3. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ. 10 But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life because of righteousness.

  4. 11 And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you.

  5. GOD’S WILL AND CALLING FOR YOU THE GREAT COMMANDMENT THE GREAT COMMISSION THE GREAT INDWELLING

  6. The Great Commandment and the Great Commission are impossible without the Great Indwelling.

  7. ROMANS 8:11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, he will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you.

  8. JOHN 14:12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

  9. ACTS 2:41 Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.

  10. WHEN THE SPIRIT COMES SCHOOL BEGINS

  11. WHEN THE SPIRIT COMES SCHOOL BEGINS What grade are you in?

  12. GOD WANTS YOU TO GROW! Hebrews 6:1 Therefore let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity.

  13. SO… GOD GIVES YOU FAITH Romans 12:3 – “ For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you.”

  14. GOD WORKS FAITH IN YOU John 6:29 - Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent.”

  15. GOD GIVES YOU THE RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE GOOD SOIL FOR GROWING WHAT HE HAS GIVEN. James 1:22 - But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

  16. Hebrews 12:15 See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many. 16 See that no one is sexually immoral, or is godless like Esau, who for a single meal sold his inheritance rights as the oldest son.

  17. WHEN WE TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE GROWTH OF WHAT GOD HAS GIVEN US, HE PERFECTS IT! Phil. 1:6 - "For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus."

  18. THE “PLACE”

  19. Colossians 3:1-17 - Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. 2 Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. 3 For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.

  20. 4 When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. 5 Put to death [stop cultivating this soil!], therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these, the wrath of God is coming.

  21. 7 You used to walk in these ways, in the life you once lived. 8 But now you must also rid yourselves of all such things as these: anger, rage, malice, slander, and filthy language from your lips. 9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in

  22. the image of its Creator. 11 Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all. 12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves [Start cultivating this soil!] with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.

  23. 13 Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. 14 And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity. 5 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

  24. 16 Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts. 17 And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

  25. WILL YOU MAKE UP YOUR MIND TO CULTIVATE GOOD SOIL?
