  1. Early Man • Early man interacted with their environment by: • Invented fire which helped humans lives. • Haunting would effect the population of animals. • Made irrigations (ponds, etc.)

  2. Early Farmers • Early farmers interacted with their environment by: • Growing crops which helped the soil. • Women and children planted and harvested the crops, while Men grew the crops. • Also planted river valleys, along with the crops.

  3. Mesopotamians • Mesopotamians interacted with their environment by • Digging canals to carry water from the rivers to the land because the flooding ruined crops. • Stored water in basins, due to the hot climate that people had to deal with. • Mesopotamians put up walls along riverbanks to prevent floods from destroying crops and livestock.

  4. Egyptians • Egyptians interacted with their environment by • Settled near the Nile River • Because of the Nile, they could grow crops of wheat and barley. • The over flooding of water caused fertile soil from the Nile. • The Egyptians had water from the Nile for the humans and the animals.

  5. Ancient Chinese • The Ancient Chinese interacted with their environment by • The Shang Dynasty was the first to work with bronze. • There was The Silk Road in China. • The HaungHe River influenced China because it made them work hard to live, because it flooded the land, destroying the crops.
