The Sun • 93 million miles away • Takes 8 minutes for the light ray to reach us on the earth, going 186,000 miles per second! • The sun is 1 million times the size of earth! • If the earth was the size of a golf ball, then the sun would be 15 feet in diameter…. • If the earth was the size of a golf ball, 960,000 earths would fit inside the sun…. The same as filling a school bus with golf balls! • The sun is just one of billions of stars in our Milky Way Galaxy • Genesis 1:16b “…He made the stars also.”
