  3. CAHSEE Overview • Content • English Language Arts • Mathematics • Scores • Range: 275 – 450 • Passing: 350 English / 350 Math • High School Diploma Requirement • Class of 2006

  4. CAHSEE Concerns • Low Pass Rate Among Special Education/504 • 2007 10th Grade Students • ELA: All Students 77% / Sp Ed – 33% • Math: All Students 76% / Sp Ed – 32% • Legal Challenges • Alternative Tests • Test Modifications • High School Diploma Requirement

  5. CAHSEE Remedies • CAHSEE Waiver • Class of 2006 and on-going • Students who use a test modification . . . • And receive a score of 350 • CAHSEE Exemption • Class of 2006 and 2007 • Students who did not attain a score of 350 • Exemption ended 12/31/07
