  2. Santa Fe Impact Fees - Chronology 1993, New Mexico Development Fees Act 1995, Local Gov’t Fees Must Comply w/ State Act 1991, City adopts first impact fees 2001, City hires Duncan Associates 2003, City adopts new impact fees

  3. Arterial Roads Traffic Signals Regional Parks Neighborhood Parks Police Fire/EMS Old FeesNew Fees($631 per home) ($2,860 per home) • Arterial Roads • Traffic Signals • Wastewater Treatment Plant City Collects for Water and Wastewater extensions via a Utility Expansion Charge (UEC).

Phase-In • Sept – Dec 2003 All permits paid old fees • Jan – June 2004 Permits assessed under new ordinance paid only 75% of new fees • July 1, 2004 Permits assessed under new ordinance paid full 100% of new fees • Affordable Housing is exempt from all impact fees. • Current median price of S-F Home is approx. $400,000.
