  1. Santa Fe WA (Western Australia)

  2. Easy Access To Perth Just a 40 minute bus and train ride away.

  3. Lake Leschenaultia Just a 20 minute bush walk away.

  4. 360 degree photo of the property when we first bought it. It was taken from where the Lounge Room will be.

  5. Frequent Visitors Kangaroos visit our property from the Leschenaultia Conservation Park which we border.

  6. Ground Level From the garage area, looking back across the slab toward the workshop on the left and the transportable we are living in.

  7. Floor Plans I think we got carried away! 395 sq. meters (4251.75 sq. ft.)

  8. Artist’s Sketches This is about how it will look when finished.

  9. Kiva-Rumford Fireplaces Also called behive fireplaces. Ours will look something like one of these.

  10. Making Blocks The clay goes through the vibrating screen we made from old bed springs and a washing machine motor, to remove rocks, roots and large lumps. (Yes, that's me driving.)

  11. Stabilizationand Hydration The bobcat puts the screened clay into the paddle mixer. We add 5-7% cement and then mist in just enough water so the clay lumps together when squeezed in your hand.

  12. Compressed Earth Blocks (CEBs) The bobcat puts the hydrated clay onto the platform to be pushed into the block machine’s hopper by someone standing on the platform. When I’m working alone, the clay goes into the hopper of the conveyor belt so I can load the machine.

  13. The CEB Machine Blocks come out of the CEB machine and roll down the conveyor to be stacked onto pallets
