  7. THE MATTER OF TITHING

  8. YOU CAN GIVE WITHOUT LOVING, BUT YOU CANNOT LOVE WITHOUT GIVING

  9. THERE IS A HUGE DIFFERENCEBETWEEN A PHARISEE WHO TITHE TO SELF RIGHTEOUSLY QUALIFY HIMSELF UNDER THE MOSAIC LAW (WHAT A DELUSION!) AND A CHRISTIAN TITHING UNDER THE NEW COVENANT, NOT TO EARN ANYTHING BUT TO CONFESS HIS LOVE, ACKNOWLEDGMENT AND DEPENDENCE ON GOD!

  10. 1 Timothy 6:10 (NKJV) 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. Luke 16:9-13 (NKJV) 9 And I say to you, make friends for yourselves by unrighteous mammon, that when you fail, they may receive you into an everlasting home. 10 He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.

  11. HOW SHOULD WE GIVE?

  12. We should give voluntarily: The church in Macedonia: 2 Corinthians 8:2-3 (NLT) 2 They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity. 3 For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more. And they did it of their own free will.

  13. 2. We should give cheerfully: 2 Corinthians 9:7 (NIV) 7 Each man should give what he has decided in his heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

  14. 3. We should give sacrificially: The church in Macedonia: 2 Corinthians 8:2-3 (NLT) 2 They are being tested by many troubles, and they are very poor. But they are also filled with abundant joy, which has overflowed in rich generosity. 3 For I can testify that they gave not only what they could afford, but far more

  15. 3. We should give sacrificially: Mark 12:41-44 "And He sat down opposite the treasury, and began observing how the multitude were putting money into the treasury; and many rich people were putting in large sums. And a poor widow came and put in two small copper coins, which amount to a cent. And calling His disciples to Him, He said to them, 'Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on.'"
