  6. Structure • Use donor cultivation & fundraising to create funding pot under ‘Changing Lives Theme’ • Distribute funding through 2 open grants rounds per year for voluntary sector groups • Complemented by crowd funding events to maximise local giving

  8. Small Grants Programme • Two open grants rounds per year beginningin April 2014 (next October 2014) • Groups must be a registered charity, or a voluntary or community organisation • Turnover less than £300k, serving Hackney • Projects must fit one priority funding area

  9. 1. Employment & Training • Improve financial wellbeing through employment opportunities • Give those who have lost their job the skills and resources to get back into work • Engage those furthest from the job market & help into employment pathways • Entrepreneurship, improve employability

  10. 2. Wellbeing & Inclusion • Bring people together through sports, social activities, cultural events & the arts • Promote community participation • Improve health and wellbeing • Encourage social inclusion

  12. HG Live Application Process • Attend application workshop • Complete application form by deadline • Selection Panel reviews applications • Groups interview with Panel • Selected groups get ‘pitch ready with TFN • Groups pitch at HGL • Groups deliver project & report back in 1 year
