Born on September 18, 1933 (79) in Shanghai, China. • Immigrated to San Francisco, California in 1941 • University of California, Berkeley (1953-1957) with a BA in Philosophy. • Work has been exhibited in the US, France, The Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Germany, Australia, Japan and The United Kingdom.

  3. Lifelong activist for peace and social justice. • Co-founded Park Place Gallery in 1962, the first artists’ cooperative in New York City. • Athena Foundation(1977), Assists artists in realizing their ambitions.

  4. Started in construction, became injured in an elevator accident---became a paraplegic. • Pioneered using the crane for work. • Learned to use arc welder in rehab • Used scrap metal, tires and structural steel. • Exploration has lead to H-beams and steel plates. • Influenced by poetry, music and philosophy.
