  3. Intro In my presentation I picked Oprah Winfrey. I did because she comes from a bad background and then, she over came it. Now, she owns her own network and TV. show. She is a beautiful black woman, who is rich. She has a best friend Gayle King. I’m going to talk about her life and accomplishment.

  4. Early Childhood and Family Life Oprah was born in Kosciusko, Mississippi on January 29, 1954. She lived in poverty all her child-hood. Oprah wasn’t close to her parents. She was abused by family and friends, when little. She ran away to her father. Had a kid at 14,but later died. As a teenager, she worked at a local grocery store. When she got older, she married to Stedman Graham. Oprah never had kids.

  5. Education In high school, she starred on her school’s speech and drama programs. She was a honor student. Also, had a full scholarship Tennessee state university. She studied communication.

  6. Accomplishment After, college, she was a news anchor and she went to Chicago to host a morning talk show. Then, two years later, she started the Oprah Winfrey show (O.W.S) and it was being broadcasted nationally. She was the wealthiest women in the 20th century. Also, was the most influential women. Oprah’s inspiration is Maya Angelou. Her life is both positive and negative because she came from a disadvantaged background and over came it.
