Golden Caster Sugar Butter Egg Raising Flour Cocoa Powder Baking Powder Vanilla Extract Milk Ingredients For the Cake For the Buttercream
Method • Heat oven to 190/170C fan/gas Butter the base and sides of two 20cm round sandwich tins and line the base with baking parchment. • In a large bowl beat together 200g golden custard sugar, 200g softened unsalted butter, 4 large eggs, self raising flour,cocoa powder, baking powder, vanilla extract, milk and a pinch of salt. • Divide the mixture between the prepare tins. Baked for 20 mins or until a skewer inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean.
