  9. SCANNER USE • Must Power up and Ground to vehicle • Must Program to vehicle • Must make sure correct software • Make connections to self test connector • Make sure you are connected to correct connector • Perform tests in correct sequence

  15. SCANNER FEATURES • Some scanners have built in printer • Some scanners have graph or lab scope capabilities • Most scanners have “freeze” mode • Some scanners have diagnostic information available such as common problems, technical service bulletins ref. • Engine Analyzers have scanners also
