University of Bridgeport School of Engineering and Design University and School Profile • University of Bridgeport founded in 1927 as the • Junior College of Connecticut • Became the University of Bridgeport in 1947 • Private, Independent, Non-sectarian and • International • UB Total Students : 3300 • SED Largest School on Campus (840 students • as of Spring 2001)
