  1. External Load/Data Bird What are the goal with the External load/data structure.

  2. Test Cases Output I/O Input IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 1, TEST OF OUTPUT or I/O Output I/O IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 2, TEST OF OUTPUT or I/O

  3. Test Cases Output I/O Input IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 3, Test of Input Input IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 4, Test of Input

  4. Testcases Output I/O Input IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 5, TEST OF DIFF OUTPUT or I/O IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 6, TEST OF DIFF OUTPUT or I/O

  5. Testcases Output I/O Input IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 7, Test of diff Input Input IBIS ISS Subcircuit Port 1 - Port n Case 8, Test of diff Input

  6. All Cases • Waveform data can be defined for nodes made external in the IBIS ISS subcircuit declaration. • Tested buffer assumed part of same IBIS file, referred to by [Model] name. • How are we testing series models? • Stimuli definition needed, Format ? Internal in IBIS or external file ? Format: time edge ? (states 1, 0, HiZ ?) Example: Time state T1 Z T2 1 T3 0 T4 1 .. .. ..

  7. All Cases • --------------------------------------------------------------- • Test data waveforms are external to ibis file. • Test data waveforms format need to be defined. Example: TIME nodename1 nodename2 nodename3 … Timepoint V(nodename1) V(nodename2) V(nodename3) …. No definition of the number of points, implicity declared by the number of lines in the file, is that okay ? • Number of nodenames allowed in one IBIS ISS load ?

  8. Case 1 Output, I/O testing using input buffer. • Output or i/O buffer internal to IBIS file. • Input buffer internal to IBIS file ?, external to IBIS file ?

  9. Case 2 Output, I/O testing using IBIS ISS load. • External IBIS ISS load used.

  10. Case 3 Input testing using output or I/O buffer. • Input buffer internal to IBIS file. • Output or I/O buffer internal to IBIS file ?, external to IBIS file ?

  11. Case 4 Input testing using IBIS ISS “source”. • Input buffer internal to IBIS file. • IBIS ISS “source” external to IBIS file ?
