  1. Which Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies Do Third Graders Like The Most?

  2. Purpose The reason we are doing this project is if there was a holiday witch soft chocolate cookies would the third grade like the best. Chips Ahoy, Great Value, or Aldi brand chocolate chip cookies! Hypothesis We think that the Chips Ahoy will be the best soft chocolate chip cookie because they have a lot of chocolate chips in them and they are also really big.

  3. The Materials • One package of Great Value Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies • One package of Benton’s Chocolate Chip Cookies. • One package of Chips Ahoy Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies. • Three pieces of white paper • One Pencil • Small papers with A, B, C, on them for voting.

  4. The Procedures • First we bought Chips Ahoy, Great Value, then Benton’s chewy chocolate chip cookies. • Second we put them on the table until the experiment. • Third, we put A on one piece of white copy paper, then we put B on the second piece of white copy paper, finally we put C on the third piece of white copy paper • Fourth, we labeled our cookie bags: Chips Ahoy A, Great Value B, and Benton was labeled C

  5. Procedures continued… • We then broke the cookies in half and placed them on the papers for A, B, and C. • Finally, the students ate their cookie and voted on their favorite one by circling A, B, or C on their voting slip. • We counted the votes and made a graph

  6. Graphed Results! Brands of chewy chocolate cookies!

  7. Conclusion Our experiment turned out the way it did because Benton’s cookie was softer and chewier than the others. Our hypothesis was wrong. If we did this again then we would give each person a whole cookie and we would also use different kinds of peanut butter cookies.

  8. Acknowledgements We would like to thank Alex Goldesberry since she brought in one of the cookies. Also, the parent of Chase Mayfield and Dalton Lake. Thank you very much Mrs. Stinebring for letting us do this experiment.
