Luke 6:21 21“Blessed are you who are hungry now, for you shall be satisfied. “Blessed are you who weep now, for you shall laugh. 4. Appetite • We don’t understand hunger the way the rest of our world does. We don’t often experience the pangs of hunger. • But blessedness comes in having those hunger pangs when we experience injustice in our world. • Jesus is the Bread of Life we hunger for. We must develop an appetite for God! We must not live on bread alone, but on every word of God.

  5. Thirst • We can understand better being thirsty and parched. But are we thirsty for Jesus, the Living Water? • We are expected to bring a cup of cold water to those who are thirsty. We must be servants to others, bringing righteousness along with that cup of water. • Righteousness means that everyone involved is treated justly and rightly.

  6. Key of the Kingdom • Hunger and Thirst are basic needs of the human condition. We must long for and deeply desire God’s righteounsess in our world. • We must create an appetite in others for God’s righteousness by being righteous to them. • May our world slowly grow in righteousness and let us be the prime examples of God’s justice!
