  1. Obtaining a BRNa step-by-step guide

  2. What you need before you start • The full name, registered address and date of founding of your group or organisation. • Names of the management committee members, directors and/or trustees. If any of these have already obtained a BRN you will also need to know this. • Estimated area of any land owned or rented by your organisation.

  3. TICK THIS BOX – if you lease or own land or buildings that may be subject to a Rural Priorities application ALWAYSTICK THIS BOX – “business” includes a community group or organisation

  4. Section AIf you are just registering your group (“the business”) tick Noandfor SRDP purposes

  5. but if you are registering your group and land or buildings, tick Yesandregistering landandfor SRDP purposes

  6. In ALL cases tick this box The status of the contact person – eg Secretary Question 4 - Leave blank The full name of your group or organisation Always enter full contact details Question 6 - Leave blank

  7. Give the date your organisation was founded here X X Section B – You will always need to complete this section List the names of your management committee members, directors or trustees If any of your committee, directors or trustees already have a BRN it must be entered here

  8. Section CYou only need to fill in this section if you lease or own land that may be subject of a application for SRDP funding, otherwise move to Section E

  9. Enter an accurate estimate of the total area of land here Enter Rural Priorities/LEADER here

  10. Tick the NO box This should be the same figure as box 18 You will need to attach an up to date OS map with your land outlined in BLUE

  11. Land Parcel Identifier – Give a number to each area Change type - Enter NEWF Date of Change – This should be the date of your application Other Location Code – Leave blank Area – The same as boxes 18 and 21 Usage of Land – Enter SRDP Purposes Description of Change – Enter Registration of land for first time

  12. Section D - Leave blank

  13. Give a brief description of your organisation: what it does and its aims and objectives, and outline your planned application(s) for SRDP funding.

  14. Tick the NO box no ticks needed To be completed inall instances X X Question 27 - Leave blank Question 30 - Leave blank
