Enhancing Student Engagement through Urdu Poetry: A Multi-Strategy Teaching Approach

This lesson plan focuses on promoting higher-order thinking and student-centered learning using Miss Gul-e-Zehra's poignant poems. By integrating Bloom’s Taxonomy and 21st-century skills, students will engage with the poetry more deeply. Short-term instructional strategies include encouraging recitations, creating colorful charts, and simplifying complex ideas. Anticipated challenges such as differing opinions on the poem's themes will be addressed through motivation and group discussions. Resources will include the library, internet, and collaboration with fellow Urdu teachers.
