Role of the Government Project Officer The role of the GPO is to: Monitor the grant Main point of contact for program issues and default for other issues Advocate and support the grantee for successful outcomes Provides information to grantees and other entities (national organizations, SAMHSA management, gov’t offices, Congress, etc…)

  3. Project Expectations Form a collaborative among criminal courts and convene regularly Serve adults with mental illness, substance abuse and co-occurring disorders Enroll participants and begin services by the end of March Evaluate the project and actively use it to improve and sustain the project Train staff in TIC and provide trauma specific services Involve persons in recovery in planning, service delivery and evaluation Use our resources to build a better community
