Education & Accreditation of Health Care Professionals in Mexico • Social Security System consists of: • - Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS) • - Institute of Social Security for State Workers • (ISSTE) • - Medical Services of the Mexican Petroleum • Company (PEMEX) • - Secretary of National Defense (SEDENA) • - Secretary of the Navy

  4. Education & Accreditation of Health Care Professionals in Mexico • Public System (SSA) • - the Secretary of Health (SSA) provides basic services to the uninsured sector as well as providing some additional coverage through a newly introduced Seguro Popular
