  4. TREx v 3.9 – Transcript Request Interface • A new interface will be implemented that will allow users of authorized applications such as ApplyTexas or ConnectEDU to electronically submit a request for transcripts directly to TREx. • When a request is placed, the transaction will be placed into the Campus Registrars inbound request queue, just like requests for Student Records function today. • This only makes the interface available, other applications will have to code to exploit it.

Table ID Name XML Name Simple Type & Applicable Record TC31 STAAR-PERFORMANCE-LEVEL PerformanceLevel PerfLevelType Student Record AAR-Transcript Code Translation 1 I - Level I, Unsatisfactory Academic Performance 2 II - Level II, Satisfactory Academic Performance 3 III - Level III, Accomplished or Advanced Academic Performance

  6. TREx v 3.9 – STAAR EOC Support • The Assessment date format changes for the STAAR EOC. TAKS uses a format of YYYY-MM. STAAR EOC will use MM values of 13 to indicate Spring, 14 to indicate Summer, and 15 to indicate Fall testing windows. • For the Printed Student Record and Transcripts, TREx will convert those values to; YYYY-Spring, YYYY-Summer and YYYY-Fall respectively • The 2012-2013 AAR Minimum Standards will be updated to reflect this change.

  8. TREx v 3.9 – STAAR EOC Support • A new code has been added to Special Explanation Code table to support STAAR EOC reporting. Use this new code for those courses having an end-of-course exam to indicate that the EOC grade is factored into the final course grade. New Code: 5 - Course Grade Average or Final Grade Average includes STAAR EOC results

  9. TREx v 3.9 - Codes Added • A new Disciplinary Action Reason Code has been added to the Disciplinary Action Reason Code table to stay in synch with PEIMS. New Code: 59 - Serious Misbehavior, as defined by TEC §37.007(c), while expelled to/placed in a DAEP

  10. TREx v 3.9 – Migration to TEAL • TREx will be one of the first TEA applications migrated to the new secure environment, TEA Login (TEAL), which replaces the older system, TEA Secure Environment (TEASE). An overview is available at; http://www.tea.state.tx.us/index4.aspx?id=2147505323, to provide information and answer questions about both of TEA's secure environments. This Overview includes information on: • how to get started • how to connect TEASE and TEAL together • where to view the End User Training • Please take advantage of these resources to familiarize yourself with TEAL. All TREx users will have to request a new TEAL account in order to access TREx once this release goes into production. • TEAL provides greater, more flexible secure access to TEA applications. Eventually, all TEA applications will use TEAL. For information about TEA applications and their migration status, visit the TEA Secure Applications reference page <http://www.tea.state.tx.us/webappaccess/AppRef.htm>.
