Xbox 720 • Expected release date:Between 2012 and 2015, there are different speculations • Specifications: The Xbox 720 specs will be a significant technological leap forward (‘Xbox 720: every rumour about the new Xbox.’) • Windows 8: Microsoft claims that they plan on creating an ecosystem where PCs, tablets, cellphones, and Xbox all work together in harmony. (Xbox 720 Could Run New Windows Operating System) • Cheaper: It will be cheaper than the 360, further enabling Kinect adoption. (Xbox 720 Codenamed 'Loop', to be Cheaper and Smaller than Xbox 360, Rumours Claim)

Playstation 4 • Expected release date: Spring 2013 (Taken from http://www.sonyps4gaming.com/)Gaming analyst Colin Sebastian believes Sony PS4 will see an earlier release date than Xbox 720. • Superior graphics: ‘the PS4 will use the PowerVR Series 6 graphics card by Imagination Technologies’ (PS4 to Use superior graphics card) • Features:increase in polygons - 2.5 billion/sec, 10x increase in polygonal output. (Playstation 4 – The Story so Far)

  4. Wii 2 • The rumour: Follow up to Wii at E3 in Los Angeles this summer (‘Wii 2? Xbox 720? Those new console rumours in full’ ) • Features:all-new controller, which industry sources have indicated is not simply an upgraded Wii Remote, and will even feature a built-in HD screen (Wii 2 has all-new HD controller, out 2012 - Sources) • What Nintendo have said about the 'Wii 2' so far:‘’We are of course studying and developing the next console to Wii. However, there is a big difference between studying a product and announcing what it is and when we will release it. (‘Wii 2? Xbox 720? Those new console rumours in full’)

  5. Discs – should we get rid of them entirely? • Advantages of getting rid of discs • Save developers and publishers money • No physical goods costs for game makers • All money would go to developer or publisher • However, could alienate the customer base
