Corvinus University of Budapest"A humanist institution that brings together several disciplines from social sciences to natural sciences" • Founded in 1948 as Hungarian University of Economic Science • Name changes (Karl Marx Universityin’53) and restucturings, Corvinus University in 2004 • „Recalling the world of Renaissance, it focuses on refinement, richness in detail, variegation and creating value” • The renewed University has 7 faculties: • Business Administration, • Economics • Food Science • Horticulture • Landscape Architecture, Protection and Development • Public Administration • Social Sciences

Our University can be proud, that it has the best sociologicaland international relations expert educating structure in Hungary • On the 7 faculties, the University has 17879 students • Corvinus participates in the Erasmus Program, and otherStudent Exchange Programs as well, has hundreds of partner institutes worldwide • Corvinus gives place for lot of Student Organizations, such as AIESEC, AEGEE, TEK, SZISZ, ÖCSI, Hungarian UN Model Student Association • The University has its own Sport Center, Language Department, Language Exam Center, Library, PC Center and its own Magazine issued by the students • The student life is quite vivid here, the University holds several balls, parties and concerts through out the year, and even gives place to its own coffe shop and to the Közgáz Pince, situated under the main building, offering dance music, karaoke and drinks
