Creating the Standoffs (feet on the bottom of the box). They are created by extruding a sketch drawn on a sketch plane at an offset from the Top Plane. The Draft Angle option is also used. See dialog box to the left. Create a reference plane (Features/Reference Geometry/Plane), at an offset distance of 10.5mm from the Top Plane. You need to select the Reverse Direction check box in the Plane Property Manager. Select the newly created plane and sketch a 1mm diameter circle on it with the correct distances from the sides of the battery box. Extrude the sketch using the Up To Next option with an Outward Draft angle of 10 degrees. Add a .25mm radius fillet to the bottom of the standoff. Suggestions for the pattern. You can create one and try to Linear Pattern them. Or you the Mirroring Tool. If these work out for you, great, I found that I had to use a different technique…. When your part is correct. Record the time in your engineering bellworks folder and report it to the instructor. Good Luck!
