  2. Save all your searches done in EBSCO HOST server ESBCO HOST WILL HELP YOU CREATE YOUR OWN FILES AND SAVE SEARCHES & ARTICLES, LIKE IN YOUR OWN COMPUTER

Go to http://www.usuniversity.edu/student_services_library_databases.phpand click on EBSCO Multidisciplinary- Academic Search Premier Please create your own EBSCO account for the following services: Search alerts, publication alerts, saving searches and articles in EBSCO server. Select the Sign In

  4. Please create your own EBSCO account for the following services: Search alerts, publication alerts, saving all your searches and articles in EBSCO server. Select the Sing In option and after Create a new Account

  5. Complete all the information requested and in write your user name & password in a place you can remember

  6. It will appear your name at the top of the page. Always checked your name to be sure you can save your results. Before saving, first create a new folder, click the New icon

  7. Write in the folder name the course number and name or your subject searches and in notes the terms or the assignment.

  9. You have registered yourself into y EBSCO HOST and opened the file CRITICAL THINKING where you will filed your results Now let’s do the search and apply what we have learned

  10. Your name should remain at the top of your result page. We will search “critical thinking” and learning in the “field AB Abstract”. Click in the Full text box and Peer Reviewed Journals. Select the period from January 2000 to July 2010 and click SEARCH

  11. From the previous search we retrieved more than 250 full text documents. Limit the search with the same words but selecting the TI TITLE in the field option and sort them by relevance

  12. Now start selecting your articles and saving them into your folder of CRITICAL THINKING. Click Add to folder and save them by selecting critical thinking. When you finished filing, please open you folder to verify what you have done

  13. Open your CRITICAL THINKING folder and verify your results, before login out or continue with the alerts assignment

  14. Organize your files as if it is your own computer

  15. Let’s go back to your results, by clicking back and Continue with EBSCO ALERT service for searches and publications

  16. Back in your results, click the alert/Save/Share

  17. Select the option create an alert of your search, and you will be receiving in your email the updates.

  18. Write the email where you want to receive the alerts from your search

  19. THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO CREATE EBSCO’S PUBLICATION ALERTS From search results Directly from Publication list

  20. From Search results, click on the title of the article

  21. From the Source, click on Public Integrity

  22. Click on Alert/Save/Share

  23. After opens the option, select Create an alert and write the email you want to receive the alerts.

  24. Click on the Sign In and write the email where you want to receive the alerts.

  25. Write your email and click Save Alert

  26. To verify it, go to your folder and click on Journal Alert

  28. From EBSCO basic or advance search, select the Publication box

  29. Write the journal title on the browsing box, and click browse, leaving the alphabetical option on.

  30. Click on Alert/Save/Share After opens the option, select Create an alert and write the email you want to receive the alerts.

  31. Write your email and click Save Alert box

  32. After saving the Alert, it opens into a more specific questions regarding the alert

  33. Write your email, the subject and title

  34. After you have completed the form, the system confirms your alert.

  35. Click in your Folder to verify your Publication Alert
