Promoting Citizenship Through School Assembly Activities

In September 2011, Park Avenue Elementary School held a vibrant assembly to introduce our Citizenship and Character Program. Students wore blue to show their commitment to being responsible citizens. Mrs. Pepka’s class performed the PARK AVE SONG, showcasing school spirit. During the assembly, we recited the Citizenship Pledge, promising to be safe, respectful, responsible, and peaceful every day. We learned the importance of citizenship within our classrooms, school, community, and families. Monthly assemblies will continue to emphasize character themes through engaging activities.
