  2. Survey Overview • conducted online via SurveyMonkey from July 31 to August 19, 2013 • 88 completed surveys • 72% response rate (typical rate for membership organization is 5%-40%) • margin of error = +/- 5% at 95% confidence level

  3. Who Are Our Members? • 54% men, 45% women • 90% live in WNC all year • 36% travel 10 min or less, 33% travel >20 min • 82% age 65 or over; 16% under age 65

  9. What We’ve Done So Far • Changed layout to include classroom seating up front • Asked all presenters to use microphones • Assigned someone to monitor room temp & comfort & ask for feedback

  10. What Remains To Be Done • Improve presentation content • Add greater variety of topics • Use additional presenters (not the same 1 or 2)

  11. Biggest New Change! Establish a CONTENT Committee • Quarterly meetings to brainstorm ideas • Plan 3 months’ worth of topics in advance • Take pulse of membership for useful/interesting content
