  3. Mammalian Integumentary Adaptations • Female mammals produce milk for their young • Milk is produced in the mammary glands • Mammary glands are modified sweat glands • Mammals have hair (at some point in their lives)

  4. Mammalian Skeletal Adaptations • Jaw: single bottom bone makes up the jaw • Middle ear – 3 bones make up the middle ear • Malleus (Hammer) • Incus (Anvil) • Stapes (Stirrup)
