  4. Emeralds are commonly found in Columbia Brazil and Zambia. • They are not found in the US.

  5. Mining and Processing • Emeralds can be extracted by pit mining or tunneling under-ground. • It is then cleaned and used for jewlery.

  6. Value • One Carrot=5000$

  7. Uses • Can only be used as Gem stone for jewelry. • Too weak for tools.
