  20. SINKEX Live Fire Plan All firing units will brief CTF 172 on 8 or 9 Jul • VP-45 has lead for JMSDF CTOT 10 Jul SINKEX: ex-USS Ogden (LPD-5) • VP-47 AGM-84K co-op 1430-1530 • VFA-34 firing • VP-47 controlling, VFA-2 backup • VP-1 AGM-65F 1500-1600 14 Jul SINKEX: ex-USS Tuscaloosa (LST-1187) • AGM-84 CTOT (2) 0800-0900 • VP-45 • JMSDF PATRON DET 49 (VP-5)

  21. Logistical Reposition of AGM-84K • Purpose: CPRG approval to repo missile from Whidbey to Kaneohe due to BIT failure of Oahu’s on station missile • Logistics ship not available to meet live fire timeframe • Shot between CVW-2 F/A-18 and VP-47 scheduled for 10 JUL • Boeing shipped missile 30 May to Pt Mugu for partial defuel and high visibility kit install. • Upon completion to be trucked to NAS Whidbey • VP-1 msn aircraft repo SLAM ER to Kaneohe approx. 25 Jun • Flight Restrictions: 5 degrees nose up, 30 degrees nose down, not to exceed 30 degree roll. • Warning: Exceeding the carriage limits may result in missile ignition failure. • Impact if denied: No SLAM ER shot during RIMPAC • Last MPRA SLAM ER: 2008 • Last MPRA captive carry: 2 x Harpoon in May 2011

  22. Safety Deliberate ORM Assessment • Safety Rover Watch, “Float Coat” • Observe hangars, flight line, west field, TOC, MTOC, and higher risk evolutions Safety Incident Reports • Report hazards, implement control measures, share lessons learned immediately with EXCON via chain of command

  23. Special Capabilities Objective: Integrate EP-3, LSRS, and SPA into the maritime fight Method: Operate one co-op ISR sortie per day during WASEX’s and Freeplay Challenges and mitigation: Dissemination of data, utilize RR CSG Positioning IRT partner nation assets • Geo-separated from CTF 170/ 176 activity • Further guidance on request from C3F N2, FDO Physical security, OPSEC • Spec caps CTU, responsive to CTG through CO VPU-2 • Use VPU-2 SCIF • Park LSRS pod bird in Hangar 105

  24. DV Management High Visibility with LCS, USS MERCY, and China STAFDEL and Media expected and pre-briefed Expect moderate interest in P-8A • RAAF delegation • AUSCONGEN • Flag Officer flight requests • VP-45 scheduled static displays (priority to crew readiness) PACFLT observer program 25 Jul • Germany, Brazil, Denmark, Bangladesh • P-8 static plus P-3 flight over PHOTOEX

  25. Planning Review CJMD Manning: 100% Flypro: 98% NCEA: 100% • Approx. 1500 DIFAR remaining to complete CY ’14 On-Base Billeting Plan: 95% • RoKN det 100% • 12 key coalition command billets (O-4 to O-6) in BOQ • USN on-base lodging: ~96% billeted - 179 beds • Commercial lodging required for turnover, overlaps

  26. Outstanding Issues Billeting – need off-base reservations for remaining USN personnel and overlaps during turnover (minor) Airspace 9 Jul – coord ongoing with FACSFAC to reserve RIMPAC airspace in non-RIMPAC construct (minor) Airfield – ARES UAV may close airfield for launch and recovery periods(moderate) Dissemination of LIMDIS data to partners ISR – limited tasking process may drive emergent tasking
