FACSFAC Airspace Everything you see on the Battlespace chart (except ranges and National Airspace) SAG – Surface Action Group area (Blue) 40 min by 40 min areas where SAGs will operate SAG area composed of four 20’x20’ Sub boxes Permanent waterspace grid boxes Water space only Airspace for HELO/MPRA ops is in correlating DCA area. Must de-conflict with scheduled air ops. BFM – Basic Fighter Maneuvering(Green) Aircraft vs aircraft, self contained events 1v1, 1v2, 2v2 visual sets Can be used in conjunction with other Airspace Chart Terms UNCLASS

  5. DCA – Defensive Counter Air area (Gray) Overlay Airspace correlating to SAG areas Can be scheduled for events individually, or in adjacent blocks for large events. DACT – Dissimilar Air Combat Training RAIDEX – Air Defense Exercise for Air vs Surface raids DCA – Defensive Counter Air, aircraft in defense of SAG vs OPFOR aircraft CASEX/TASW – Theater Anti-Submarine Warfare AD/WASEX – Air Defense/War At Sea for large SAG vs SAG vs Air vs Sub MI & ISR – Maritime Interdiction & Intel Surveillance Recon Altitude de-confliction built into the ACP Chart Terms (cont) UNCLASS

RAIDEX, CASEX, MI, DCA, BFM, DACT: Use Airspace Box designations for comms assignment All players will use the primary UHF frequency of their assigned DCA or CVOA box as shot common/safety of flight. If using multiple boxes, use the primary frequency of the lowest lettered or lowest numbered box. Pri UHF is shot common/safety of flight, Secondary UHF is event freq. Utilize tactical frequency for interflight and GCI/AIC comms. If only one controller is assigned or reverse GCI is used/needed to aid OPFOR presentations, GCI/AIC calls shall be passed on shot common. If multiple boxes are used, mission lead may assign unused freqs for administrative frequencies as required COMMS MANAGEMENT
