  2. Weebly. What am I? • I was born in San Francisco in 2006. • My investors are Ron Conway (original investor in Google), Mike Maples, AydinSenkut, Rajeev Motwani and Paul Buchheit (creator of Gmail). • I help people put information on-line easily and quickly.

  3. Currently… • 3 million people use me. • I was named one of the 50 best websites in 2007 in magazine.

  4. Responsibilty goes to… • In the beginning of 2007, the Weebly founding team joined a seed funding program called Y Combinator. • Y Combinator has funded startups, such as Clustrix, Scribd, Weebly, Songkick, Dropbox, WePay, Bump, and many more. • We do this twice a year. On average = $18k.

  5. Prices … • There is a free version (which is what I used). • There is a pro account which costs… • $4.58/month for 6 months • $3.99/month for 1 year • $2.99/month for 2 years (which is a 25% discount)

  6. Classroom use … • You create a blog/website. • You can post information about your class, projects, assignments, etc. • Parents can join so they can keep up with information. • This is a way to communicate.

  7. Wallwisher is … • A new way to communicate! • Sticky notes are used. • My parent is SharedCopy. • I was born in 2008. • Nitesh is the only true member, but… • There are others, such as Tejas Kumar Viswanath , PranavPiyush, Mark James, and ChoonKeat.

  8. As of now … • In 2009, Wallwisher came back to life after hiding out for about a year. • Their FAQ page is pretty funny.

  9. The Responsible party is … • SharedCopy. • But the main creator is Nitesh.

  10. The Price = • 32*2 – 16*4 = $0 • Or 64 - 64 = $0 From: How much does it cost?

  11. How can I use this in my classroom? • This can be used as a bulletin board, just on-line. • There are sticky notes. • Parents, Students (depending on grade level), and fellow teachers can use this. • Homework reminders, projects, parent-teacher conferences, etc…

  12. Websites … • http://www.weebly.com/ • http://www.time.com/time/specials/2007/article/0,28804,1633488_1633608_1633636,00.html • http://www.wallwisher.com/
