  1. Plans for Grid@CNAF and Validation Auger-Lecce, 15 December 2009 Grid@CNAF Validation

  2. Validation • Validation / Acceptance tests. • BuildBot working for 32 and 64 bits configuration. • Factorize test on a common installation. (Cosmetics) • Tests presently configured (FREC SREC IO) • Back Compatibility – Advanced status • Hybrid and more ... • Ad hoc Data sets • Introduce Histograms- Key point for Validatrix coexistence. • On a personal view - When a problem is found during acceptance tests a deeper validation must be performed from Analysis (or Detector Performance) groups. Policy to be established (?)

  3. GRID @ CNAF • Possible evolution of virtualization in GRID environment- • Worker Node on demand for GRID(?) – first iteration with Karen: • CNAF Tier1 has presently 130 machines WNOD (sl5 and sl4)-In CNAF plans they foresee to double them during the first half of next year. • The VO decide the imagine to use based on the soft requirements. • The WNOD allows specific request for different VO. • Started the request of a CNAF test-area in order to check faisability. • KNOWN Bottlenecks – MYSQL – if no solution only Corsika and “ideal Offline”. Requirements from Italian groups to be collected. • GRID and the OFFLINE on GRID: Iteration with Jiri Chudoba (Praha) presently the VO responsible. Somebody from Praha maybe here next year for some periods • Evolutionmainly dependent from the first tests @CNAF • MYSQL has a general scalability problem.
