The Alaska VHF-Up Group held its annual meeting on October 8, 2011, during the Pacific Northwest VHF Society Conference in Bend, Oregon. With 59 members, including 23 from Alaska, the group discussed key developments such as updating their website, creating an email reflector, and introducing certificates for the Sourdough and Pathfinder awards. Recognizing excellence in amateur radio, awards were presented to members activating multiple grids throughout Alaska. The meeting served as an opportunity to strengthen ties in the VHF community and enhance collaboration.

Website moved to http://www.qsl.net/ak-vhf/ with addition of the Contesting page authored by Paul, K7CW. 2. Creation of a e-mail reflector: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/ak-vhf 3. Creation of certificates for the Sourdough and Pathfinder awards. First six awards given out:
