  3. iPad Usage Agreement • The iPad is the property of Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont • It is intended for educational use • Usage is a privilege • Supports the learning environment

  4. iPad Policies: Expectations • Bring your charged iPad to schoolevery day • Don’t share it • Keep it in the bag when not in use and when transporting it • Treat it as if it were your own

  5. iPad Policies: Conduct • Student code of conduct applies in the digital world • Do not deface the iPad or the bag • iPad is subject to inspection at any time

  6. iPad Policies: Apps • Pre-loaded apps and content are owned by the school district • Students are not permitted to load their own apps

  7. iPad Policies (Parents) • Monitor students at home • Read and follow the guidelines in the Acceptable Use Policies (AUP) • Know your student’s passwords • Have them show you what they are doing in class

  8. iPad Policies: Dropbox • i-cloud use is only for students with Apple ID’s (apple ids are for students 13 and older only) • Dropbox storage of personal files is encouraged • Dropbox storage will use the school issued e-mail • Google Drive storage will use the school issued e-mail

  9. iPad: Theft Protection • Keep your iPad under your control atall times • Don’t leave it in a car or on top of your locker • You could be liable for loss

  10. Loss & Theft • If an i-pad is lost or stolen it needs to be reported to the classroom teacher and/or the building principal immediately. • No i-pad should be left in an unsupervised area. (If an i-pad is found in an unsupervised area, it will be taken to the office and dealt with as a disciplinary matter.)

  20. Keeping your iPad safe • Don’t leave your iPad unattended • Don’t leave it where the temperature will be very hot or very cold • Don’t leave it in a car • Don’t feed it • Don’t water it • Don’t submerge it • Do not place objects in front or behind iPad in bag to prevent glass damage

  21. Caring for the iPad • The iPad is made of glass, if dropped, it can break • iPads have a slick surface, grip it carefully • Don’t leave it where the temperature gets cold or hot(over 95° or under 32° for long periods of time • Protect it from liquids or high humidity

  27. Caring for the iPad • Disconnect your iPad from power before cleaning • Turn the power off before cleaning • Clean screen with soft cloth or microfiber cloth(preferred) • Do NOT use window cleaners, glass cleaners, aerosol sprays, or alcohol to clean the screen.

  29. THE APP iPad Tips: Quit App • To Quit an App • Press “home” button twice (quickly) • “Open” Apps will appear at bottom of screen • Touch and hold on an App until red dot with minus sign appears • Press on red dot, App will close

  30. Receiving your iPad • i-pads will go home when the student’s teacher has all signed AUP’s and have gone over take home procedures with the students. (student and parent signatures required)
