  2. Before the Audition • Find out what type of Audition is being held • Know if you need a head shot and resume • Prepare for the audition

  3. BE PREPARED!

  4. Monologues • Are a part of drama in which a single actor speaks alone • Two contrasting pieces • Memorize • Mix up blocking/don’t be repetitive • PRACTICE!!!

  5. Cold Reading • Is where you read off the script for the first time without rehearsing • Don’t actually be “cold” • Possibly get the piece early • Pick an objective and fight for it

  6. DON’T BE LATE!

  7. The Audition • Introduce yourself clearly • Time limit • Energy and Confidence • Be creative • Be willing to follow direction • Overall: impress the judges

  8. Audition with confidence and get the role you deserve!
