  1. 6 THINGS TO LOOK FOR BEFORE BUYING A VACUUM CLEANER

  2. Performance The two main indicators for a vacuum cleaner’s performance are water lift and airflow. The water lift represents the suction force and is the parameter for vacuuming liquids and other materials. The airflow expresses the volume of air intake and is the parameter for dust and light materials.

  3. Motor power The motor power expressed in Watts, kW or HP, depends on the types and the number of motors the vacuum is equipped with. The choice of the motor must be proportionate to the amount of material to be vacuumed by a commercial vacuum cleaner.

  4. Noise Level The noise level of a vacuum cleaner is expressed in decibels and is another parameter to be assessed. It has consequences on comfort, especially if used in a noise-sensitive environment. It has little effect on its power of efficiency.

  5. Design And Structure This is another important parameter to be assessed. The overall dimensions and weight of the machine depends on the model and the environment. If the machine is used for cleaning small spaces, it shouldn’t be too heavy. The collection tank can be small or large and can be made either of plastic or steel.

  6. Filtration All vacuums are equipped with high efficiency filter bags that collects dust after cleaning. These are microfiber bags that are unbreakable. Besides, there is an upstream filter that protects the motor from the dust and a downstream filter that stops the dust from circulating back into the environment.

  7. Accessories Usually every commercial vacuum cleaner is equipped with supplied accessories to perform different types of suction. Some of the accessories are- round brush, flat lance, wet brush/squeegee and universal brush.
