SOME INFORMATION ABOUT GAZİ UNIVERSITY • Gazi University is one of the few universities whose history dates back to 1920s. • Gazi University was established in 1926 under the name of 'Teacher Training Institute' which is the first Higher Education Institution of Turkey for teacher training. • Gazi University carries out its educational and research activities with its 15 faculties, 4 colleges, 9 Vocational High Schools, 35 research centers and 6 institutes
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT GAZİ UNIVERSITY • The university has faculties of Education, Medicine, Dentistry, Pharmacy, Engineering and Architecture, Economics and Administrative Sciences, Communication, Science and Arts, Law, Fine Arts. • Gazi University is the leader of the country with its education faculties that are The Faculties of Industrial Arts, Gazi Education, Vocational Education, Technical Education, Commerce and Tourism
SOME INFORMATION ABOUT GAZİ UNIVERSITY • Gazi has also more than 1500 foreign students from Turkic States. • 5 thousand students in master and PhD programmes. • 76.000 undergraduate students and more than 4000 academic staff
QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM IN GAZİ UNIVERSITY • Since 2001 Gazi University has been conducting Strategic Planning studies. • Especially the main emphasis is put on the quality assurance system within the scope of European Union harmonization process.

FACULTY OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION • Faculty of Vocational Education is a 4 year faculty training students to become vocational teachers for Secondary Education. • These future teachers generally work in vocational high schools for girls.
FACULTY OF VOCATIONAL EDUCATION • There are about 2000 students. • The main departments of the faculty are the clothing, crafts, decorative arts, family economics and nutrition education and educational sciences. • Educational sciences department gives teaching formation courses
RESEARCH METHOD OF PROJECT • Qualitative research method will be performed within the scope of the project. • Sample will be selected from 16central districts of Ankara province. • The maximum variation method will be applied as the method of sample determining
RESEARCH METHOD OF PROJECT • Accordingly, 2 elementary schools, 1 public high school and 1 vocational school will be taken from each central district. In this study 64 schools in total will take part.
RESEARCH METHOD OF PROJECT • A School Principal, A DeputyPrincipal and Five Teachers working in these schools will be chosenfrom each school as samples. Accordingly, a total of 64 School Principals, 64 Deputy Principals and 320 Teachers will have joined this research.
RESEARCH METHOD OF PROJECT • In addition, 16 experts responsible for quality development and working in the Central District Directorates of National Education will be interviewed . • Data will be collected via questionnaire from 320 Teachers, 64 School Principals, 64 Deputy Principals
RESEARCH METHOD OF PROJECT • Interview method will be applied to collect data from 16 experts and semi-structured questions will be asked. • The data will be analyzed with qualitative and quantitative data analysis methods
