  2. His birth • Ponce de Leon was born in 1460 In sanders, Spain. • Nobody knows the exact date that he was born.

His adventures • Ponce de Leon was a Spanish explorer and soldier. • he was the first European explorer to step foot in Florida. • He also established the oldest European settlement in Puerto rico and discovered the gulf stream. • Ponce de Leon was searching for the legendary fountain of youth and other riches.

  4. His first adventure • Ponce de Leon sailed in Christopher Columbus’s second expedition . • They were going to the Americas in 1493. • Ponce de Leon did not return to Spain with Columbus.

His second expedition • He stayed in the Santo Domingo or the Dominican republic. • Ponce de Leon returned to Spain in 1514. • The king gave him permission to start colonies in the areas he had visited. • Ponce de Leon sailed in Christopher Columbus’s second expedition . • They were going to the Americas in 1493. • Ponce de Leon did not return to Spain with Columbus.

  6. His death • He was wounded in 1521 • In an attack by native Americans. • His crew took him to Havana, Cuba where he died
