General Education Exploratory Committee • Reviewed National Discourse on General Education • Evaluated Other General Education Models • Examined Requirements – CPE and SACS • Conducted 17 Town Hall Discussions (Fall 2008) • Solicited Ideas on SLOs on Web (Spring 2009) • Input was Gathered by Faculty, Students, and Alums • Issued Report – GenEd Framework (June 2009) • Model Student Learning Outcomes • Map to Kentucky Transfer Module • Implementation Issues – Courses and Program

  4. General Education Program Structure Committee (GEPSC) • During July 23, 24, 27, 28, and 29 a summit was convened consisting of 19 faculty, 4 chairs, 1 dean, 1 associate dean, and vice provost. • Three groups were organized to develop program proposals.
